Founded in 1848, Logis de la Cadène is one for the oldest hotel restaurant hotel in Saint-Emilion. This hotel restaurant has played such an intimate part in the history of Saint-Emilion. It was always a favorite of the Boüard de Laforest family living in nearby Château Angélus, and they ended up acquiring it in summer 2013. La Maison de la Cadène, a fine 17th century family house, has open in May 2016. The Logis de la Cadène is located on a small square in the very center of the medieval town. With its steep cobbled street and its wisteria arbor, this is lovely, quiet haven. The shady terrace and the dining rooms are furnished in keeping with the general spirit of the premises as well as current fashion. In this relaxing atmosphere, the very varied gourmet menu favors tasty traditional dishes with a new slant. The wine list is truly memorable, featuring several hundred wines.
